Smart Current Limits for Tesla Wall Connector dynamically adjusts the charging power based on real-time readings of the total load in the electrical panel. An energy meter monitors the current, and when the load decreases, the charging current can increase to a preset limit. The function is supported on 1-phase 230V L-N and 3-phase 400V L-L (wye with neutral) networks. Installation requires a 40A breaker for maximum power output, with adjustments available for smaller breakers.

Description
Load balancing for Tesla Wall Connector
Smart Current Limits is a new feature that allows the Wall Connector to dynamically adjust the charging output based on real-time readings of the total load in the power station. An energy meter is installed to monitor current in the power plant; when the power center load decreases, the Wall Connector can increase the charging current up to a limit set by the installer.
See installation instructions in the pdf below. The included communication cable for load balancing to the charging station may need to be extended if necessary. Refer to the installation instructions.
